This page seemed helpful: but when I ran the 'brew install libusb-compat' command in Terminal it said I didn't have Homebrew installed. I finally found somewhere that said dfu-util depended on lib-usb. Liftoff wasn't recognizing it either when I went to controller setup, whether it was off or on, in normal mode or firmware update mode.
I held the switches and got into the firmware update mode, then tried connecting the cable, opening OpenTX Companion, and doing a backup. dfu-util kept saying 'No DFU capable USB device found'.
Neither Liftoff nor OpenTX Companion would recognize it. I spent a lot of time trying to get the Taranis Plus to work on my MacBook Air running OS 10.10.5.
